  KCSD to hold three public input meetings on Camden area elementary redistricting
February 2, 2010 - As part of its process to gather public input, the Kershaw County School District will hold three meetings next week concerning revised attendance areas for Camden Elementary, Jackson and Pine Tree Hill Elementary. 
  KCSD kindergarten registration to be held sometime in mid-March
February 8, 2010 - Kershaw County School District officials are delaying kindergarten registration for 2010-11 until next month after the school board receives feedback from public meetings currently being held to gather input on elementary redistricting proposals.
  Local PASS scores exceed state averages in 19 of 24 areas; ELA, math scores in top 25 of SC school districts
February 4, 2010 - The Kershaw County School District’s 2009 PASS scores equaled or exceeded state averages in the percentage of students meeting standards in 19 of 24 categories in results released today by the State Department of Education.
  Lugoff-Elgin Middle School again receives prestigious national recognition
February 4, 2010 - The honors keep coming for Lugoff-Elgin Middle School. The school learned last week that it had received recertification as a “School to Watch” - the first middle school in the state to ever earn that honor.
  Upcoming furlough days in KCSD
February 3, 2010 - Kershaw County School District staff and parents are reminded that changes to the 2009-10 school calendar mean that Friday, Feb. 12 is a half-day for students with teachers taking the other half-day as a furlough.
  ATEC Schedules Spring Semester Open House For February 11
February 1, 2010 - The Applied Technology Education Campus (ATEC) will celebrate national Career and Technical Education Month with its spring semester open house on Thursday, Feb. 11, from 5 to 7 p.m. Parents of students and the public are invited to attend.
  Dean takes job in Lexington-Richland Five; Bullard to serve as CHS interim principal
January 28, 2010 - Camden High School Principal Reggie Dean today announced that he will be leaving the school to become the Director of Secondary Education in Lexington-Richland Five. Pending Kershaw County School Board approval, CHS Assistant Principal Karen Bullard will serve as interim principal for the remainder of the school year.
  Kershaw County School District’s Teacher Career Fair Feb. 6
January 27, 2010 - Persons interested in employment with the Kershaw County School District are invited to participate in the district’s 11th annual Teacher Career Fair Saturday, Feb. 6. The event will be held from 8:30-11:30 a.m. at Camden High School (1022 Ehrenclou Drive, Camden).
  North Central High recognized by State Department of Education for SAT scores
January 27, 2010 - North Central High School was one of 52 high schools from across South Carolina to be recognized by the State Department of Education for its efforts on the SAT college entrance exams.
  County Middle Schools to participate in National Job Shadow Day
January 26, 2010 - Kershaw County middle schools will participate in the national Job Shadow Day next month on Friday, Feb. 5. Seventh and eighth grade students will be allowed to go to work with a parent, relative or neighbor to learn more about the workplace and potential careers.
  KCSD to hold two public input meetings on Blaney, Doby’s Mill redistricting
January 26, 2010 - As part of its process to gather public input, the Kershaw County School District will hold two meetings next week concerning revised attendance areas for Blaney Elementary and Doby’s Mill Elementary next school year.
  Kershaw County schools’ AYP performance mirrors state results
January 25, 2010 - Data released by the State Department of Education in compliance with the federal No Child Left Behind Act (NCLB) last week shows Kershaw County schools’ AYP performance mirroring state results, with nine of 11 elementary schools meeting all of their targets.
