North Central High School
Registration
Requirements:
All students promoted to
grade 9 by North Central Middle School will be required to
participate in registration at North Central High School
during Registration Day in July. The exact date for
registration will be determined later.
All transfer students coming from a school other than North
Central Middle School are expected to participate in
Transfer Student Registration. This will also be on a
designated date in July. The exact date will be announced
later. All transfer students should report to the school
with their parent or legal guardian. Parents are asked to
have all appropriate documentation to include: withdrawal
papers from the previous school, latest transcript and/or
report cards, proof of guardianship (if applicable), current
proof of residence in the name of the parent or guardian,
immunization records, birth certificate, and social security
card. For all students with disabilities, a parental copy of
the student’s latest IEP is required.
Attendance Zone Description:
North Central High School has
an attendance zone that covers the northern areas of Kershaw
County. The northernmost and easternmost boundaries of
Kershaw County are North Central High School’s attendance
zone. The western edge of the attendance zone is the eastern
shore of Lake Wateree as it extends southward to Sanders
Creek. Sander’s Creek is the attendance line toward to
Sander’s Creek Road and Pine Road. The attendance lines
extend along Highway 1 to the intersection of Cheraw Road.
The northern section of Cheraw Road and the eastern side of
Park Road is served by North Central High School. Both sides
of Stagecoach Road are served as the lines extend eastward
toward the intersection with Corsett Road. The attendance
lines lead along both sides of Corsett Road, then Timber
Creek Road, northward to Huckleberry Road, and eastward to
Cassatt Road. The attendance line along Cassatt Road ends at
the Lee County line.
Driving Directions:
- Driving directions from
I-20 are:
Take exit 98 (Camden/Sumter 521 exit.) At the stop sign,
turn towards Camden on Hwy. 521 North. Go about 10 miles to
Lockhart Rd., and turn right. Continue about 8 miles, school
is on the right.
- Driving directions from
the District Office are:
Turn right on Roberts St. Turn right on Hwy 1 South.
Turn right on Broad St. (Hwy 521). Go about 8 miles to
Lockhart Rd., and turn right. Continue about 8 miles, school
is on the right.
